Brooke Prashker (@bprashker)

Brooke is a doctoral student in public health and health policy, where she is studying health insurance access, utilization and literacy. She works as a senior analyst for a labor union that provides health insurance for hundreds of thousands of people across the country. When Brooke is not at work or at school, she serves on the Planned Parenthood of NYC Activist Council (where she met Lindsey!). Otherwise, she spends her time devouring pop culture. Brooke is an active reader (she met Cori in a book club!), she is an avid theatergoer, she sees way too many movies and she watches way too much television. Every year, Brooke hosts an Oscars party, where attendees fill out ballots, and bring dishes based on nominated films and people. Her current pop culture obsessions include Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Bob’s Burgers, The Good Place, Parks and Recreation, and whatever show she is currently binge-watching on a streaming service.

Lindsey Gibson (@OMG_lindz)

Lindsey is a reproductive justice activist and patron of the trash television arts. She earned her masters degree in public health at New York University’s College of Global Public Health, eating several metric tons of dumplings at Bobst Library in the process. She is currently the Political Action Group co-chair for the Planned Parenthood of NYC Activist Council, where she and Brooke began plotting this podcast! She also organizes educational events on reproductive healthcare access for ReproAction. Her favorite shows include Mad Men, Saturday Night Live, Terrace House: Opening New Doors, BoJack Horseman, and 90 Day Fiancé.

Cori Schattner (@corischattner)

Cori has been sick and has had surgery. She has had arguments with insurance companies. She has had doctors she loved and ones who misdiagnosed her. She is a rabid consumer of and thinker about television, movies, books, and art and she’s fascinated by storytelling as a means to educate and inform.
